Alternative For People Who Want to Avoid NSAIDsAug 09, 2010 *****
I think that Zyflamend is a good alternative to powerful NSAIDs. I peridically take Etodolac XL for acute back pain, and recently substituted Zyflamend. What I noticed was not an immediate analgesic effect like the medication; however WITH STEADY USE I did notice a positive result. It took me a couple of weeks to tell for sure, and then I tested it by going on and off. I will continue with Zyflamend on an ongoing basis instead of taking the medication when I am in pain and then going off of it. I think that this is the way that the Zyflamend works best to reduce inflammation.
I didn't notice any problems with digestive upset or burning, but I always took it on a full stomach just in case, since my stomach is sensitive. The softgel capsule is rather large, though I didn't have any problem with that either, but people who have problems swallowing pills should know that.
I would recommend it for people to take and to experiment with it, using their medication as backup, and with their physician's supervision of course. In my case my problem is not so severe that I go to a doctor every time I have an episode, and I think it works best for people with problems like this. People who are already on strong pain medications and NSAIDs and under a doctor's care should of course first check with her or him.
Zyflamend has been tested in studies and shown to be effective. New Chapter is a terrific company with outstanding products. I like using products like this because they support the body and contribute to whole body health instead of tearing the body down.
Highly recommended.

Seems to be workingAug 06, 2010 It's always so hard to tell if an anti-inflammation product or diet is working because inflammation is caused by so many different things, but I have noticed a difference since taking Zyflamend. I have a rheumatoid-type of disorder that causes severe inflammation in my joints, especially my pelvic spine. It's worse after sitting for a long time or sleeping. Most of the time in the morning I can't move my back or legs without experiencing searing pain. I have to slowly start moving and stretching through the pain and eventually, once the joints are limbered up, the pain subsides and I can get out of bed relatively pain-free.
After several days of using this supplement along with seriously curtailing my sugar/carbohydrate intake, I noticed that I was waking up with only very minor pain and minimal stiffness. This is a major big deal for me! Is it the Zyflamend or the carbohydrate reduction? Or both? I don't know, but I'm not willing to stop either to find out!
pain reliefAug 01, 2010 I haven't been using it very long, and I still can't tell if it is helping me. That makes this review unfair. Keep that in mind.
It's a mainstay in our house.Jul 27, 2010 Zyflamend is one of those products that you don't appreciate until you run out. We don't keep asprin, tylenol or any of that stuff, but we take a Zyflamend every day.

Noticeable DifferenceJul 16, 2010 I get major inflammation in my hip. This usually occurs when I'm overly active on it. I'm only 28, but have a congenital condition that leaves me with the hip of an 80 year old. That being said, I'm always looking for anti-inflammatory ingredients that I can slip into my everyday diet. I have ginger root blended into my smoothie every morning and I try to have 2-3 cups of green tea daily. These both help me, but there are several times where I can't have those things. I began taking Zyflamend about two years ago and have noticed that it helps with discomfort. I'm more comfortable throughout the day and even get better rest. The affects provide me with less stiffness in my joints. I can't say that it's a miracle pill, don't expect to pop one of these in your mouth and you instantly feeling fantastic - if you want that, stick with the percocet. Those that have joint inflammation should also be consuming green tea! That is the number one thing at has brought me more comfort.
