This product is not chemical freeAug 06, 2009 If you're buying this product because you think it's chemical free - think again. It actually has more chemicals than other hair dyes found at your local store. Check out [...] to see how safe the products you are using really are. It's rated 8 out of a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most hazardous!

Herbatint ColorJun 04, 2009 I have enjoyed this product for several years. The hair has a natural look, not a harsh dark tone.

Great ResultsFeb 12, 2009 I've used this hair color several times now and always had great results. It covers gray and does not wash out.

Great color, gentle treatment, covers greyFeb 02, 2009 I've been using Herbatint for about 5 years now and I recommend this product to anyone! The ingredients are all natural and there is no ammonia. The color lasts a long time, it is glossy and shiny, my hair always feels healthy and smooth after I color. Best of all - it covers grey! Before I discovered Herbatint I experimented with various herb-based hair colors, including henna. None of them covered the grey as well, and the henna is very messy to use. Herbatint works wonders and the overall health of my hair has improved over the years, I believe due to this product. Be sure to lay down lots of towels when you color, it does stain.
Herbatint is wonderful!Jan 04, 2009 There's a curse in my family, the crappy hair gene. Sure, our hair is full and thick and basically indestructible to styling, but it goes grey, very early. As a result, I've been dying my hair for a very very very long time.
I've tried Revlon, I've tried Ferrier, Garnier, Herbal Essence, Clairol, and basically every other hair dye you can think of, and I have to say I love the herbatint the best.
Not only do I feel much more comfortable using a product I could practically eat on my hair, instead of a chemical that eats away at the shaft of my hair and can make me go blind if it seeps into my eyes, but the color is fantastic, and it makes my hair feel softer and nicer then before I colored it. Other companies boast this, but they lie!
Recently I tried Revlon again, I couldn't find Herbatint, and it left my hair dried out, so that if I didn't use a heavy conditioner every time I washed my hair, my hair ended up feeling like straw when I washed it. Thats very unusual for my hair, usually nothing really damages it, so I was shocked at this! I missed herbatint! plus the color didn't stick, I find that most of them didn't.
Herbatint has the nicest black I've found. It looks like natural black hair, but not too light, not anywhere near brown. its certainly BLACK, but it looks natural, not like you decided to stick your head into a pot of shoe polish and hope for the best, and not like your hair is dark brown, or like it hasn't been dyed at all. The color stays too, I've never really had it fade on me, plus, after I color, my hair is soft, really soft, and nice, and it doesn't stink like chemical reek, it smells like, well, hair. It's wonderful!
Plus, if you dont have ALOT of hair, you save money. You can save the unused portions of color and use it later, something that I've found very effective. It doesn't make the product any worse, and you save money, instead of throwing away money with unused dye because the bottles warn you that it may "explode" if you keep it... (which is also rather unsettling... haha)
I cant recommend it enough, buy some herbatint, save money, get really nice color, you wont regret it.
