It Works For Us!Jul 17, 2008 My wife and I are at the age where blood pressure can be a problem. We both have an aversion to prescription drugs, doctors, and hospitals and prefer to keep our contact with them at the irreducible minimum.
Over the years we have tried a number of remedies for blood pressure control, (my wife has a bigger problem with this than I do) and have found that we seem to get consistently good results with Kyolic Garlic. We take the Kyolic Garlic along with a carefully planned selection of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes every day. We are also fairly careful about our food intake as well.
When we are on our Kyolic Garlic regimen our blood pressure stays at very good levels (my wife checks hers every morning). Just recently we accidentally let ourselves run out and my wife noted an increase in her blood pressure level; she tried taking larger doses of garlic oil softabs but that didn't seem to make that much of a difference. When our new supply of Kyolic Garlic came in my wife's blood pressure was back down where it was supposed to be within 24 hours.
We have used nutritional supplements for over 50 years and will soon celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary. Both of us are active and in good health. We have observed the gradual acceptance of nutritional supplements over the years and smiled to each other as we saw the medical profession "discover" the values of vitamins and minerals that were common knowledge to many people decades earlier. We think the medical profession is on the right track and encourage them to keep up the good work.
We can recommend the Kyolic Garlic based on our very successful experience with it. We both take two capsules with every meal; although that exceeds the recommended dosage by one meal, it has worked for us for many years.

Kyolic is One of the Best Garlic Brands on the MarketSep 20, 2005 People use garlic to prevent plaque buildup on the arteries, improve high blood pressure, reduce coughs, colds, bronchitis, and even pneumonia.
The antibiotic activity of one milligram of allicin (the active ingredient in garlic), equals 15 units of penicillin. It is an extremely effective, broad-spectrum antibiotic, killing gram negative and gram positive. Garlic's use has been proven to destroy many types of bacteria.
In studies, garlic has also been shown to be effective against parasites. Some studies show promise in using garlic to treat children's ear infections.
Studies are mixed, but several have found garlic to slightly lower blood pressure.
Garlic remedies have also been used to treat cancer, the common cold, diabetes, high cholesterol, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), and more.
Garlic is best eaten raw (although most folks will not take the raw form due tot he smell) and the most potent garlic preparations are the ones made at home. Although raw garlic is the most potent, most folks who take garlic take it in supplemental form. The average dose for supplementation is 500 - 1,000 mg/day. Dosages for children under the age of 16 have not been determined.
Garlic is considered to have very low toxicity and is listed as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States.
Side effects from garlic include upset stomach, bloating, bad breath, body odor, and a stinging sensation on the skin from handling too much fresh or dried garlic. Handling garlic may also cause the appearance of skin lesions. Other side effects that have been reported by those taking garlic supplements include headache, fatigue, loss of appetite, muscle aches, dizziness described as vertigo (namely, the room spinning), and allergies such as an asthmatic reaction or contact dermatitis (skin rash).
Garlic has blood-thinning properties so people with bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia or platelet disorders, should not use garlic supplements or medicinal doses of garlic. This is also important to know if you are going to have surgery or deliver a baby. Too much garlic can increase your risk for bleeding during or after those procedures.
Garlic is best taken each day with a meal.

By far the best Garlic out thereSep 09, 2004 Most garlic claims such as "Allicin" is the key beneficial compound is based on outdated information. Kyolic is the only garlic on this planet that "ages" the garlic, which in turn, changes the harsh compounds into constituents that are extremely beneficial. Kyolic is the most scientifically tested (about 350) garlic out there. Also, and best of all, it will not leave you with garlic odor.
